Quality and Economy

Conqra Polyraft strikes the perfect balance between quality and economy. Because the slab sits on top of the ground, rather than in it,the system offers a dramatic reduction in site excavation costs. Conqra Polyraft flooring is rapidly constructed, provides significant thermal insulation from ground level, and minimises seasonal shrinkage of ground on the building's foundations. Conqra Polyraft provides all the benefits of raft flooring, plus the advantages of Conqra's simple and effective innovations.

Because floor beams are laid out in a grid, and our pods are extra large, you will get more efficiencies from your materials and labour.

Unnecessary channels are eliminated, so concrete is used in the topper, where its most valuable.

Choose from two pod sizes to minimise cost and deliver versatility. In hard working areas such as garages, a 1200mm x 1200mm pod maximises strength and load bearing capability. For light use areas such as living courts, a bigger 1800mm x 1200mm pod will increase the efficiencies from your materials and labour.

Conqra Polyraft pods are solid and robust. Walk, wheelbarrow or pump concrete over them, and trench plumbing services through as required. Their strength makes the pods very easy to work with.

Ground beams are 160mm wide. This ensures easy flow of concrete and virtually eliminates complications caused by air pockets.

Conqra Polyraft floors are exceptionally strong with the use of high yield reinforced steel (HD12), and the additional strength afforded by the 100mm floor slab.

Strength

Conqra Polyraft floors are very strong. Stronger in fact than others due to its unique edge beam detail, channel detail and thicker cover of concrete.

The Conqra floor utilises a 300mm -400mm external spacer stirrup and 160mm channels. These sizes allow the concrete to easily flow in and around the reinforcing steel. Conqra only uses HD steel. This is a special high yield steel for reinforcing (HD12)

Conqra is the only floor that specifies 100mm of concrete cover for strength.

Larger channels, larger edge beams, more concrete cover and HD12 reinforcing steel will give you piece of mind that you have built it strong and built it right first time.

Patented galvanised stirrups

Conqra's galvanised stirrups are the key to it's successful POLYRAFT flooring system. Each stirrup is protected by copyright and patent. The stirrups fix the pods in place, permit easy flow of concrete through the ground beams, and allow the reinforcing bars to rest firmly in position, so that they don't require tying. The stirrup design is R6 galvanised steel, and it can be manufactured in any shape on a CAD bender. The design and weight of reinforcing within the canals holds the polystyrene pods in place and separates them during laying. Clean canals allow concrete to flow for maximum reinforced cover.

Conqra has a large number of different stirrups for a variety of different applications. Project specific design of stirrups is possible because of the flexibility of the CAD bender manufacturing. Several of the stirrups are detailed in the images on the right. More detailed drawings are available as a pdf downloads in the CAD drawings section of this website.
